AGE: 92 • Perth Amboy
Sophie (Leshyk) Mazurowski, 92, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the Haven Hospice at John F. Kennedy Hospital in Edison. Sophie was born in Perth Amboy, and was a life long resident. She was a parishioner of St. Stephen's Church / Blessed John Paul II Parish. She worked for Maiden Form, before becoming a home maker. She enjoyed going to bingo, doing crossword puzzles, and trips to Atlantic City. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Mazurowki; and by her brothers and sisters Mary Deliman, Helen Dobrenic, Stella Wybraniec, Stephen Leshyk, Nicholas Leshyk, and John Bilas. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Zylka Funeral Home, 513 State Street, Perth Amboy. A viewing will be held from 9am-10am at the funeral home, followed by a 10am mass at St. Stephen's Church in Perth Amboy. Burial will follow at Alpine Cemetery in Perth Amboy. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to the Haven Hospice in Edison, NJ.
