Sophie REED Obituary
Surrounded by family, Sophie Reed passed away peacefully at the Regina General Hospital on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the age of 80 years. Sophie was born near Wakaw, SK and married Archie 'Bud' Reed. They spent 60 wonderful years together. Her love of polka dance was second only to her love of family. Sophie's generosity, friendly nature and sense of humor will be missed by all. She and Archie raised their four children in Odessa, SK where her hard work and green thumb created a beautiful yard from a prairie slough. After Archie's retirement, the couple enjoyed spending winters in Arizona and making new friends. They travelled to as many polka dance parties as they could. She could always be found cheering in the bleachers at her children's and grandchildren's sporting events. Along with her husband, she will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her daughters Marlene (Garry), Lorraine, Tina (Randy); her son Donn (Lisa); her grandchildren Lisa (Tony), Christina (Dale), Shala (Zennen), Evan (Lynette), Andrea, Craig, Jared, Lauren, Kristen (Dylan), Lea (Paul), Darnell, Alicia and Ashley (Blade); and her great- grandchildren Ethan, Reece, Nathalie, Zachary, Oliver, Dominic and Lily. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to sign the online obituary and tributes page at www.regina-memorial.ca.
