Stacey Jean Stern of Calgary passed away suddenly on April 3, 2013 at the age of 41 years. She will be remembered by her loving daughter Daryene, parents Ed and Jean Stern, sister Jody (Greg) Crawford, sister Nicole (Jeremy) Lafreniere and nieces Bryanna, Clarissa, Acacia Lovely. Prayers and Tributes will be held in the Chapel of MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME (1605 - 100 Street S.E., Calgary) on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church (10 Prestwick Drive S.E., Calgary) on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Stacey... I know you know, that not a day goes by that you are not thought of, or remembered in some way. The kids and I mention you all the time and miss your beautiful presence. When your song comes on the radio, it reminds me that you're not far away at all.
You are in my heart everyday and I love that I still have your text messages, and that when I hear a song, or look at pictures, or when life gets a little tough, I can hear your voice in my mind, being honest and truthful, with always a warm hug. I am so grateful for having you in my life as one of my best friends, your smile always lit up every room you entered and it made my life brighter all the time.
The other day I had strawberries dipped in all the extras like we used to have and they were the best strawberries I'd had in a long time. And all I could do was smile thinking of the last time we ate those and laughed ourselves silly about everything and nothing.

Her lifeless body lay there cold

Playing together, she was just a young pup
