Stanley Fayman Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 3, 2022.
April 17, 1924 - March 11, 2022 Stanley Fayman was an honorable "man's man" and one of the few remaining members of the Greatest Generation. He was born in 1924 in Des Moines, Iowa to Sam and Eva Fayman. During WW2 Stan enlisted as a Lieutenant JG in the navy and participated in the invasion of Iwo Jima and Okinawa. After the war, Stan entered civilian life, and in 1951 while visiting Los Angeles he met his lifetime love Natalie Gold. Engaged after only 4 dates, they quickly married and were blessed with 72 years of true love and devotion.

In 1951, Stan along with his father-in-law Nathan Gold opened the first credit jewelry store in Las Vegas, Nevada. Stan and Natalie quickly embraced the exciting 1950s "Las Vegas scene". The Fayman family eventually moved to Los Angeles where Stan became a successful part of the Downtown Los Angeles Jewelry industry until he retired in the 1990s.

Stan was known for his deeply ethical values as a businessman as well as his passion for unrelenting humor and practical jokes. Stan was always up for a game of tennis, a fishing trip, enjoying the beach life, and most of all his Hawaiian trips with wife Natalie. Stan was also a lifetime magician member of the Magic Castle, as well as a member of the Shriners Masonic Order.

Stan was Natalie's beloved soulmate; a loving and caring father to his two children Jeffrey and Diane, son-in-law Marty and daughter-in-law Eva. Stan was most proud of his grandchildren: Matthew and wife Gina, Stefan, Julian, and a great-grandson who is on the way.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Rupert Hernandez, Stan's tireless and fantastic caregiver of five years. Thanks also to Dr. Richard Metz and Dr. Norman Shorr for their longtime care to Stan.

We can best honor the memory of Stan by bringing to mind the great joy, laughter, humor, magic and unconditional love that he brought to so many people.

In the words of his wife Natalie, "Sleep well my love, my life, my everything and wait for me".

From time to time, if we are fortunate enough,
we may encounter a mensch as I did.
A well deserved R.I.P. Stan.
My deepest condolences to Nathalie and family.
I hope that many fond memories will be a source of
comfort in the days ahead.
Mario de Rozario.
