Stephanie Lea Childs, age 60 of Hockley, Texas passed away on January 7, 2023. She is preceded in death by her parents Bobby Gene and Sharlee Boyd, husband Billy Childs.
She is survived by her son Chance Bradley, Alan Childs and wife Megan; brothers Bobby Boyd and wife Jenny, John Mark Boyd and wife Toi; sisters Ruthie Boyd Brew and husband Steve, Joy Ann Wozniak and husband Rick; grandchildren Elle Childs and Cali Childs; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
In her youth Stephanie lived in Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and California. Being a free spirit, she had many adventures in her teenage and young adult years in California and Oregon. After having children she moved to Houston, Texas where her family had settled. She worked hard as a single parent to raise her two sons, giving them a home in the country for over 20 years.
Stephanie was a smart, pretty, fiercely independent, feisty person. Her greatest delight and achievement was raising two wonderful sons who adored their mother.
Stephanie is in the care of Canon Funeral Home.
