Stephen Gale Koch passed away Sat July 13th at Accolade Health Care in Peoria after a long battle with chronic pain and FTD. He donated his body to Science Care. He was born to Gale and Marian. Steve married Carole Hodge on Jan 9, 1966 and they shared 58 years. He is survived by Carole, sons Rich (Chris) of Lacon, Jason (Holly) of Chillicothe, grandchildren Jacob,

Jayden, Lauren and god-daughter Tabitha Hughes. Steve retired from Caterpillar after 33 years and then was a driver for MSW Projects. He loved music, was a self taught drummer and played in several area bands. He enjoyed "grandpa " time with each of the grandkids, making up silly games and was always ready to talk with them about music. He was a die hard Cub fan and thoroughly enjoyed their victory in the 2016 World Series. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Eric Stephen Koch. A memorial service will be held at Lacon Congregational Church on Sat July 20th at 2 00 with a visitation at 1 00. Memorials may be made to the Association for Frontal Temporal Degeneration (FTD) thru their website or at AFTD 2700 Horizon Dr Suite 120. King of Prussia, PA. 19406

Steve was such a great guy. He and Carol were my neighbors in Lacon for a few years. He was amazing with my kids and would do just about anything for us. He was a good soul. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
