Stephen Vincent Rossi, beloved husband, father, son and brother, unexpectedly passed away in his home on February 24, 2022. Steve is survived by his wife Karensue (née Knable) Rossi, children Angela (Adam) Augustitus and Stephen (Lisley) Rossi, father Vincent Rossi, and siblings Gregory (Johanne) Rossi, Jaime Rossi and Kim (Greg) Gruen.
Steve was born on October 25, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Diana Rose (née Reidlin) and Vincent Rossi. He was the eldest of four children. Steve was a talented pianist and over the years, the music that he played struck a chord in the hearts of many. Listening to his fingers dance like lightening over the keys when he played was a magical experience.
A proud alumnus of Xavier University, Steve went on to build a substantial career as an award-winning sales executive. He was a very good listener and the empathy he had for his customers was his secret to success. Year after year Steve garnered awards and accolades for his exceptional salesmanship.
In 1996, Steve moved his family from the Cincinnati area to Richmond Hill, Georgia, a suburb of Savannah, where he eventually retired. Retirement offered Steve more time to enjoy his family and hobbies. He was a Corvette enthusiast and enjoyed cleaning and polishing his cars almost as much as loved driving them. He also rekindled his love of golf and enjoyed playing golf with his wife, Karen.
Throughout his life, Steve was known for his kindness, generosity, love of family and witty humor. He would create funny songs about silly things that happened during his day. These songs became treasured family hits that were sung in the car on outings in between bursts of laughter. Steve was truly a wonderful and funny man who is greatly missed by his loved ones left behind.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
