Steven Andrews Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 4, 2025.
Steven Robert "GrampaDad" "Grampy" Andrews, 69, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Born on August 27, 1955, in Needham, Massachusetts, Steven lived a life marked by dedication to his family, a strong work ethic, and a deep love for the outdoors.

Steven built a successful career as a Plastics Process Engineer. He began his professional journey with Gamma Plastics Company and later continued his work at the former Plainfield Pixley Richards. After retiring from his engineering career, Steven remained active and engaged in various pursuits that reflected his wide-ranging interests and hands-on spirit.

A passionate fisherman and lover of nature, Steven found joy in the simple pleasures of life-casting a line into quiet waters or spending time under the open sky. These moments were often shared with those closest to him. He especially cherished time spent with his wife of 16 years, Janice Andrews, and their beloved granddaughter Trinity Biggieri. Together, they created countless memories camping, fishing, traveling, and enjoying the companionship of their cherished Border Collie, Isis. The bond between Steve and Isis was profound; she passed just five days before him.

Steven's devotion to his family was unwavering. He was deeply committed to Janice and Trinity, whom he helped raise with great love and care. His kindness was evident in every interaction-he never spoke harshly of others and always put the needs of those he loved before his own. Even during his battle with cancer following his diagnosis in 2023, he remained focused on the well-being of his family. Janice and Trinity stood by him as devoted caretakers throughout this time.

He is survived by his wife Janice Andrews; granddaughter/daughter Trinity Biggieri; Mother Elizabeth M. Jones; brothers Richard Andrews and John Jones Jr., along with his sister Susan Andrews, and 2 Daughters from a previous marriage.

He also had, many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and close friends who will miss him dearly.

Steven's wishes for after his passing were clear: he requested no wake or funeral service. Instead, honoring his desire for simplicity and togetherness, a Celebration of Life will be held at home with friends and family-a cookout gathering that reflects Steve's love for good company and heartfelt connection.

Steven Robert Andrews leaves behind a legacy of quiet strength, generosity without condition, and enduring love for those around him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.

Hi babe, I had to get away from life for a couple days. I thought about you the entire time. I walked around to each and every cabin, we've ever stayed in. The playground is amazing now. I had to come home on our Anniversary. I cried so hard that day. I wanted you to see where I took you. This was a nice new cabin. Trinity and I went together, with Flash of course. And, he loved it! I'll add more pics later. I know you planned this.. but, I must tell you that our cabin was named "Cardinal No coincidence there!! I love you and miss you. Your Loving Wife,
Jan

Trinity and Jan, I am so sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful man. It was always a pleasure to see him at Trinity´s school events; I got to know him through Trinity´s stories and she loved him deeply. Warmest regards and you are both in my thoughts and prayers. Jill
