My little brother was always a good-hearted soul.
The difference in age had us sometimes traveling in different circles, but we had some serious fun and managed to get ourselves into trouble from time to time.
He was game for most anything, but truth be told, he liked the simpler things in life. He took great pleasure in fishing. Our Grandpa Jenkins taught us that. Old enough to hold a pole, old enough to fish.
Even though we lived far apart, I thought of my brother often.
We had a sweet visit in August. A trip just to see him. I knew his time was near.
My little brother never complained, though he was visibly uncomfortable a few times during our last visit.
Hard to believe all these years have passed, from his gap-toothed childhood grin to his departure from this life.
I love and miss you, little brother.

Our hearts are filled with sadness and tears but our memories are filled with smiles and laughter of all the good times we shared over the years with Steve and all of you. We love you all and are keeping you in our hearts and our prayers that you find comfort during this time and all the days ahead. Love always!
