Steven Gary Peyton: Tijuana Mexico / United States of America
Born 08-17-1956 in Sacramento California to Gary, and Darlene Peyton (Giller) Steven passed away April 04, 2023, in National City, California, following an intense battle with throat cancer. Steve was 66 years young. Steven went home to heaven to be with those who preceded him. His mother Darlene Giller, Father Gary Peyton, step father Robert Giller, sister Cindy Sandeen, grandfather Harry Mc Dowell, grandmother Helen Mc Dowell, aunt Marjorie Swinney, cousin Greg Swinney, cousin Beth McDowell, and so many other valued family members, and friends.
Steven spent the majority of his youth In Sacramento. He later moved with his family to Southern California during his teenage years, and lived in the communities of, Mission Hills, Granada Hills, and Northridge. He spent his high school years in Fairfield California. Living with his father Gary Peyton, step mother Felicia Sparks Peyton, and their three daughters. Steven absolutely enjoyed the time he spent in Fairfield with his step mom, and three sisters.
Steven was one of the hardest working people I have ever encountered. He was loved and respected by many. He went after every task with gusto, personal or professional. Consistently loyal to his family, friends, and employers you could always count on Steven. Steven was called to work in Mexico 35 to 40 years ago. He jumped on the challenge to help the Mexican people in the area of manufacturing. He worked for Racks Inc. He was as devoted to the company & owners as they were to him. Originally living in San Diego while working in Mexico, and crossing the border every day to work in Mexico. He later moved into a ocean side home in Tijuana Mexico. He thoroughly enjoyed the experience of helping his company with a sometimes difficult task, he loved the challenge. He enjoyed helping the Mexican people learn new manufacturing skills. He fully immersed himself into the culture enjoying every minute of the experience. He created lifelong cherished friendships, and expended his family while in Mexico.
Steven was a man of the Christian faith, baptized in Sacramento California. He was known to relax while reading his bible in the evenings. His favorite bible passage was Jeremiah 29:11, basically asking you to encourage your faith, as God has a plan for you.
When Steven wasn't working you could find him out in the ocean deep sea fishing. He loved to catch the fish and share them with his friends and family as he didn't eat fish. He liked to call himself "The Yellow Tail King". He equally enjoyed attending San Diego Padres baseball, and Charger football games.
Steven was a husband to three ladies, Margarite, Ceege, and Sonia. He was a brother to seven, uncle, father, and grandfather. He had four children, Magnolia, Ambyr, Aaron, and Steven junior. They blessed him with 16 grandchildren.
Steven was always ready for a good adventure. He was always getting into something as a child, and continued his adventurous lifestyle into his 60's. I can assure you he was sad to leave us all, and at the same time he is very excited as he enters into heaven, on a new adventure, reconnecting with all of the family members, and friends who preceded him. Can you imagine the fishing in heaven? Steve would want you to celebrate his life rather than mourn his death. His legacy is amazing, and he knows his large family will carry on. Please remember the good times.
Stevens' four children Magnolia Sydensricker of Shelby, Montana, Aaron Case of Las Vegas Nevada, Ambyr Miller of Centralia Washington, and Steven Hector Peyton Junior of Tijuana, Mexico. Four step children Claudia Mercado, Ambar Durant, Belen Vejar, and Samantha Vejar.
Survived by his three brothers Donald Peyton / spouse Janet Peyton of Visalia, California, Robert Peyton of Denver Colorado, and Tom Peyton / spouse Pattie Peyton of Jackson California. Three sisters Angela Peyton Davidson of Ada Ohio, Tedra Peyton Price of Texas, Melisa Peyton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Stevens' sister Cindy Sandeen made the journey to heaven December 05, 2018.
Steven is the proud uncle, and great uncle too many so many it would be difficult to account for everyone. He was an uncle to an estimated 22 nieces, and nephews. Along with many great nieces, and nephews, and a great grandchild on the way.
If you knew Steven you were aware of his giving nature. As a youth he would take food to the community homeless in our neighborhood. I understand from Ceegee his giving nature carried on in the streets of San Diego, and Mexico as he often provided food, clothing, water, and blankets to the homeless, and people working through a disaster.
Steven wishes to be cremated with his ashes spread at Sea, and along various locations throughout the United States. There will be no graveside or on site burial services. Steven family, friends, and employers are located throughout the United States, and Mexico. A definite memorial celebration of Steve's life has not been set. We have a tentative date, and location set for June 10, 2023 at Don Peyton's home in Visalia, CA. Please RSVP if you can attend Don Peyton (818) 489-5602, or email [email protected]. Discussions continue on how to best honor him in Mexico, and the United States. Memorial suggestions / ideas are welcome. His family members currently live in Mexico, California, Nevada, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, Idaho, Ohio, Montana, Washington, Oregon, and Alaska
Personal thank you to:
Ceege Pynoos Steven's second wife and lifelong friend. Ceege was there through all of his cancer treatments, emergency room, hospital, and skilled nursing care requirements. They communicated every day long before, and during Steven's illness. Steven trusted Ceege to take care of his estate, health care, and any other emergency as it arose. Thank you Ceege
Special thank you to Stevens employers in Mexico Racks Inc. . Don and Douglas Walls were involved in Stevens medical cost, end of life expenses, and in general personal support of a trusted friend, and employee.

We had such a great visit that day for dad´s celebration of life. We had so many great conversations and I will miss him messaging me out of the blue just checking in to say love you sis. I wish I was able to take him up on the visit down to his place to go fishing with him. I´m so glad we kept in touch so often and he was such a help to me when Jess passed away. Now they are together in heaven watching over us all. He is so loved and missed.
