WINDBLAD Stuart WalterMarch 8, 1922 - September 4, 2007Stuart Walter Windblad passed away peacefully at Evergreen Baptist Home on September 4, 2007 surrounded by his family. Stuart is survived by his loving wife, Ellen and children: Tracie (Jerry), John (Sheena) and D'Arcy (Joanne), 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Stuart worked in the lumber industry all his working life from his first job as draughtsman at Valley Lumber until his retirement as Vice-President of Island Lumber Specialties in 1982. Stuart served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII. In the past he was an avid boater and fisherman and taught Power Squadron for many years. He was a talented woodworker, even built several boats. Stuart also enjoyed golf, oil painting and gardening. A celebration of Stuart's life will be held at the clubhouse at Sunrise Pointe, 16275 - 15 Ave, Surrey, B.C. on Sunday, September 16, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alzheimer Society of B.C.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
