Susan Ann Kinling

Susan Ann Kinling, a devoted wife, caring mother, and proud grandmother, passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 78.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Susan spent most of her life in Catonsville, Maryland, where she touched countless lives through her compassion, service, and quiet strength. She studied nursing at Seton Hall University and went on to proudly serve her country as a U.S. Navy nurse. She later spent more than four decades as a dedicated nurse at Church Home and Hospital and Harbor Hospital.

In addition to her career in healthcare, Susan was a committed volunteer with Baltimore County Public Schools and Catholic Charities of Baltimore. She had a generous heart and a deep sense of purpose that shaped everything she did. Outside of her service to others, Susan found joy in life's simple pleasures: reading science fiction, tending to her garden, savoring British mystery dramas, enjoying a morning cup of tea, and most of all, sharing her love with her family.

Susan was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, Eric. She is survived by her sons, Chris and Nick, and their partners, Sarah and Jayme; her grandchildren, Anna and Casey; and her sisters, Linda, Janet, and Barbara.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Susan's memory to My Brother's Keeper, a cause close to her heart. A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held this fall.
