Susan B. Sharp Mize

SUSAN B. SHARP MIZE

VICTORIA - Susan B. Sharp Mize, age 50, owner and broker of Landmark Properties, passed away at Detar Hospital on Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Jan 28, 1957, in La Grange, to the late Cyril Baca and Bernice Baca Weishuhn and stepfather, Clarence Weishuhn. She attended Hermes Elementary and Middle School in La Grange and graduated from Victoria High School in 1975.
Susan acquired her associate's degree from Victoria College in 1997, received her real estate license in 1996, and became a licensed broker by the state of Texas.
She established Landmark Properties, a real estate company based in Victoria and prided herself in personalized service and was always willing to go above and beyond her clients greatest expectations.
Susan was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and was devoted to the Lord. She was a member of the Texas Real Estate Association and the Texas Board of Realtors.
Susan is survived by her husband, Garry Mize; her daughters, Naomi Sharp and husband Eric McGee, Denver Gonzales and husband John, Cassie Sharp and Matt Skoog, and Marlee Mize; her sons, Casey Sharp and wife Sara, and Collin Mize; children by marriage, Tracy Galneau and Aaron Mize; four grandchildren, Aspen McGee, River McGee, Jack Sharp, and Brenna Galneau; sister, Rosalie Baca; and brothers, Leroy Baca and wife Betty Jo, Rufus Baca and wife Lydia.
Susan was a caring soul who nurtured her children, family, and friends. She loved the simple things life has to offer. She was most at peace in her yard watching the birds and taking care of her yard.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Susan will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 30, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 704 Mallette Drive.
A college fund has been set up for Marlee and Collin Mize at Prosperity Bank.
