i did not realize that Tak had passed away. I used to work with him in NC at Burroughs Welcome. Tak was a wonderful person, easy to work with and loyal to a fault. i spoke with him only once since he went into practice and wished we could have worked together again. Best wishes to his family

Beverly, Naomi and Mark,
I just learned of Tak's passing and am at a loss for words. Tak and I were roommates at Campbell and attended Seminary in Louisville. We were best friends throughout college and after, but lost contact as we went different directions. I still consider him my best friend, and so regret that we did not keep more in touch! Actually I was trying to find his contact information when I came across this obituary. Thank you so much for posting his picture. He is exactly as I remember him. As you know, Tak loved the practice of Medicine, he loved people, and he loved the Lord! He was loved by everyone whose life he touched. I look forward to the day that I see him again!
I hope that you get this comment, even though it is years late. And I hope that if you can, you will email me so we can share some memories of Tak further.
My email is [email protected] (that's a J not an I in colljn). Prayers for you all as you always keep Tak in loving memory, as I do. He was a very special individual, the best, and I loved him like a brother!

Dear Beverly,
Mary Lou and I are very sorry that we didn't learn until August 25 of Takao passing. We only knew him for a few short years but we learned not only to like him but to love him for the care that he gave to us. We were very sad when he had to give up being our internist but glad that he continued to look after us endoscoply. He was the perfect doctor and we have not been able to replace the type of care that he gave us. We know that he is now in a better and painless place. Please take solace in that. Your pain is great now but that will diminish in time as we both have experienced it. With warm regards.

Dear Beverly and Family,

I was a patient of Dr. Sato's over the last few years and am very saddened to hear of his passing. He was a wonderful physician. I have never received such wonderful care from any doctor. He was a kind, accomplished and truly gifted man. I know he will be greatly missed.

My Dear Beverly,

I am sooooooo very sorry for your loss. I am sorry I missed your calls. I am sorry I missed the service. I loved Tak as a dear friend and his loss is a great one. His loss is another reminder to me that I need to start taking time for the people I love. People I have lost touch with due to circumstances. You and Tak have taken great care of me over the years and your friendship has meant a great deal to me.

Today I will celebrate his life. I know he is in a better place and the selfish part of me wants him to be here with us instead. I have no doubt we will meet again and when we do he will have something wonderful to share ;-).

I know how much you all loved each other. You both were blessed to find each other. Although your time together was much too short it is a blessing that you had it for anytime at all. My prayers have been with you and all the family since I heard. Please feel free to call anytime. Anything I can do to help please don't hesitate to ask. I wrote my tribute to Tak in my previous entry. The world lost a great man with Tak's passing.

If you need to talk at 3:00 am in the morning or 10:00 am or 10:00 pm please don't hesitate to call. I am here for you 24/7. Please keep in touch. I know I have been bad about that lately but I am here for you anytime.

Take care...Be Safe..
Love Sally

Naomi and Mark,

Your father loved you both as much as any father could. He often spoke of you to me in the years we were friends and he was my doctor. And while he might not have approved of your choices at times he always loved you.

The pride in his voice when he spoke of you all over the years. And his joy at having a grandson was evident when he spoke of Maddox. The tell tale glee in the eyes of all my grandparents friends.

Your father was a great man!! He operated from a space of such integrity and love. He was a sweet and kind man. He was one of the nicest men I have ever known.

He was a good doctor who helped many people in need. To me there is no higher compliment then to be called a good, nice person. But to have not only your patients but your colleagues comment on that. Well that says a great deal. Many people succeed in life...very few have almost everyone you meet tell you how kind and nice they are. That is what people would say about your father.

You I am sure have other stories. Ones we all have of our parents. Ones that would embarrass both of you ;-). Ones that make you cringe with how young you were. Ones that would make him cringe for the mistakes he made that he would realize later. And when you remember those times...remember that you father no matter what...loved you. He may not have been happy with your choices always. But any good parent is not happy with their children's choices 100%. But he loved you and spoke of you with great love, affection and fondness in his heart.

I am praying for you all. For all of us that lost a great man, a good friend, and a great doctor. I am honored to have been able to call him my friend.

God Bless

Tak was very special to me. We were in the same class (86) and since I was hearing impaired, Tak would let me copy his close note at the end of each class day. We were in the same study group in the evenings as well. He really helped me in those years and I will be eternally grateful to him for his giving nature. A life well lived, Tak. Godspeed.

Tak was a special person. Even though we only saw one another on a few occasions over the years since med school in North Carolina back in the 80's, I've always considered him a good friend. I'm thankful that I was able to spent some time with him just this past February when we both attended the Walter Reed GI course. He'll be missed by so many. My heart and prays go out to his family

God looked around his Garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain. And knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw your path was difficult, he closed you tired eyes, He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly. When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain, We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again. You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide, you're always by our side. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. For part of us went with you on the day God called you home ....

I use to work for Dr.Sato and he was a very good person with a BIG heart....
