Tamara Rayborn Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 8, 2024.
Tamara Lynn Rayborn (nee Ogima), 56, of Kentwood, Louisiana, was called to her eternal rest on September 6, 2024. Born on July 1, 1968, she was a cherished member of her community and a beacon of compassion and joy to all who knew her.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Tamara's memory will be forever treasured by her children, Lisa Jarrell (Kyle) of Mount Hermon, Louisiana; David Neal Jr. of Amite, Louisiana; and Courtney Wall (Dru) of Bogue Chitto, Mississippi. Her legacy continues through her twelve beloved grandchildren: Sebastian, Kyla, Lilly, Drew, Knox, River, Luca, Sparrow, Rylen, Happy Grace, Taysom, and Bailen Gray. She is also survived by her significant other, Danny Rayborn, dear friend Laura Verdin, and several nieces and nephews. Tamara was predeceased by her parents, Steve and Lucille Ogima; siblings Pat Lambert, Linda Spiers, Peggy Cook, and Steven Ogima Jr.; and her grandparents, along with numerous aunts and uncles.

A faithful servant of the Lord, Tamara was an active congregant of The Cottage Church in Kentwood, Louisiana. Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 - "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." She found joy in simple pleasures, such as reading the Holy Scriptures and creating cherished memories with her family.

The family will receive friends at The Cottage Church, 5794 Highway 38, Kentwood, Louisiana, for visitation from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tamara's life will be celebrated in a service at the church, with interment to follow at New Zion Cemetery. Mourners are kindly invited to join the family for a repast at The Cottage Church following the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that floral tributes be directed to The Cottage Church via Glenda's Florist's website, with delivery instructions for the church.

Angelic Funeral Home of Roseland, Louisiana, is entrusted with the arrangements, ensuring that Tamara's service is conducted with the dignity and reverence befitting a life so beautifully lived.
