Tara Farrell Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 7, 2024.
Tara Marie Farrell, born on April 25, 1983, in Austin, Texas, passed away on July 21, 2024, at the age of 41 in Nashville, Tennessee.

She is survived by her dad and bonus mom, Mike and Kat Farrell; her mother, Mary Chisholm; brother Devin Farrell and sisters Allie Farrell (Dantzker) and Clair (Derek) Croslin; her mamaw, Alice Lane and grandmother, Malvana; her nieces and nephews whom she loved so much, and her dearest friends, Dennis, Aaron, Jeanna, Slim and Miranda.

Tara's greatest love was her dog, Billy Bizzle, her constant companion. The pair were well-known in their community, rarely seen without one another, and brought joy to everyone around them.

Tara lived her life vibrantly and on her own terms, touching the lives of all who knew her with a spirit that was as unforgettable as it was formidable. Known for her distinctive greetings, from "hello, darling" to "toodles," Tara communicated with warmth and joie de vivre. Her ability to express herself with just the right emoji, her preference for the color black, and her creative flair made her truly one-of-a-kind. Her heart outsized her petite frame.

A lover of travel, cosmetology, crafting, and antiquing, Tara's sense of style, fashion and creativity came effortlessly to her. Her many tattoos, crafting of all sorts, and jaw dropping halloween costumes made it clear she was a natural artist.

Tara loved her family and friends. She would make it a point to tell them that she loved and appreciated them as often as possible, sometimes with a phone call or text but most often with heartfelt letters sealed with a range of stickers.

There is no one way to do this life and there is no one way to find your purpose, but Tara tried her best by being unapologetically and unabashedly herself in every way possible. A celebration of life will be held in Nashville, TN in October 2024. The family asks for donations to the Nashville Humane Association.
