Ted White, Sr., 73, departed this life on Sunday, July 2, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Community Baptist Church. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. The book for Ted White when he was born on November 17, 1949, to Robert and Hattie White in Lubbock, Texas. Ted was known as Teddy Boy to family members. He attended public schools and attended Estacado High School. Ted was a jack of all trades. He could work on cars, do carpentry work, and some plumbing. People always come to him when they need something fixed. He was a concrete layer. He was loved by family and many others. Fishing and bingo were Ted's hobbies. He accepted Christ at a later part of his life at Scotts Temple Church of God in Christ. Ted is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Hattie White; a brother, Oscar; two sisters, Odessa and Louise; and a son, Bernard. He leaves to cherish his memories; his darling ex-wife, Jonie of Lubbock, TX; his loving children, three boys; Jerome of Dallas, Texas; Chad and Ted, Jr. both of Lubbock, TX; a daughter, Kim of Silsbee, TX; three brothers, Robert White, Jr., AJ White, his twin brother, Fred White (Lucy) all of Lubbock, TX; three sisters, Mary, Birdella White, and Vera all of Lubbock, TX; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; a special friend, Ray Newton; a very special friend, the mother of two of his children, Peggy; special dear niece, Sweet Pea.
Ted will be greatly missed.

I remember Ted from when we were both at EHS. He was a couple of years ahead of me, so one of those seniors I admired as a sophomore. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
