Terry Boyenko Obituary
When not farming Terry enjoyed racing and restoring classic cars. This passion lead to a career in the automotive repair and restoration industry where Terry began working at various autobody shops in Saskatoon, and then as an appraiser at SGI. After retiring from SGI in 2008 Terry applied his autobody knowledge and began blacksmithing. Through his hobbies, career and farming Terry made many lifelong friends. Terry’s witty sense of humor, jokes and willingness to help other will be missed.
Terry is survived by his wife of 45 years Janet, their sons Michael (Hilary) and Aaron (Kira). Also surviving is his mother Anne Boyenko, sisters; Elaine Monk (Horst), and Rose (Harry) Hryciw, mother-in-law Hester Glauba, sister-in-laws; Anne Newton, and Darlene (Gary) Ballon, brother-in-law Jerry Glauba, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Terry was predeceased by his father Mike Boyenko, father in law Andrew Glauba and brother-in-law Gordon Sluchinski.
Prayers will be held at 7:00 pm on Sunday May 6, and a Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday May 7, both at St. John Bosco Catholic Parish (1202 Ave. O South).
A sincere thank you to the people and organizations that helped Terry remain at home during his battle with ALS, including ALS Saskatchewan, Prairie Hospice Society and palliative care nurses. Your efforts and compassion will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to ALS Saskatchewan (www.alssask.ca).
