Teruko King Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 9, 2025.
Teruko "Teri" King, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on September 30, 2024, in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, while visiting family. Born on September 9, 1967, in Noblesville, Indiana, Teri moved with her family to Tampa, Florida, in 1970 and always considered it home.

A graduate of Plant High School's Class of 1986 in Tampa, Teri met her future husband, James King, while working at McDonald's on South Dale Mabry Highway. Behind every strong soldier, there is even a stronger woman who stands behind him, supports him and loves him with all her heart. The couple married in 1993 and shared a life filled with love and adventure while James served as an Air Force officer.

Teri had a deep love for animals and welcomed many pets into her home over the years: dogs, cats, fish, and other creatures her children brought into their lives. Her nurturing spirit was evident in the care she gave to each one. She also had a lifelong passion for softball. Beginning at age nine with the Fair Oaks Little League in Tampa, she often earned spots on All-Star teams. Later in life, while living in Cheyenne, Wyoming, she rekindled her love for the sport by joining an adult women's league.

Teri was preceded in death by her parents, Katsu Loser and Merle Loser. She is survived by her devoted husband of 31 years, James King; her daughter Cathleen King; her son Jason King; and her sister Tami (Loser) Arcangeli.

Teri will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit. Her dedication to her family and community left an enduring legacy. May her memory bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

A celebration of life will be held at

West Meadows Community Center
