Theodore J. Nemeth

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Theodore J. "Ted" Nemeth, age 68, of North Kingsville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, in Harrisburg, Pa.Ted was born Oct. 31, 1940, in McKeesport, Pa., the son of the late Frank J. and Virginia (Jackish) Nemeth.After attending Penn State University, he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with B.S. degree in Chemistry. He studied the Korean Language while attending Yale University, during his enlistment in U.S. Air Force.He retired as a chemist from MFG Corporation, Ashtabula, Ohio, and formerly worked as a chemist at Trans Plastics, Conneaut, Ohio, Koppers Corporation, Bridgeville, Pa. and Calgon, Pittsburgh.He was an avid birder, crossword puzzle solver, model railroader (HO Gauge) and history buff.Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Patricia J. (Knight) Nemeth; two daughters, Kelly J. Hines of North Kingsville and Michelle L. and her husband, Kriss Groeger of Chesterton, Ind.; two granddaughters, Julie Rose Hines and Annabel Lee Groeger; a grandson, Oliver Morris Groeger; a sister, Nancy M. Nemeth of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; his mother-in-law, Alice A. Knight of Port Vue, Pa.; two aunts, Nelle Enterline of McKeesport, Pa. and Anna Nemeth of Bridgeville, Pa., formerly of Glassport, Pa.; numerous cousins; and the "boys", Clak and Mick.Memorial Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Saybrook United Methodist Church, Ashtabula, Ohio, with the Rev.
