Theresa Gagnon

DOVER - Theresa (Parent) Gagnon, formerly from South Berwick, Sebastian, Florida, and in recent times Dover, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at the age of 101.

A proud graduate of Berwick Academy, she wore her class ring her entire life and was a frequent presence at alumni reunions.

Many will remember her for the many years she worked at the First National Bank of Biddeford in South Berwick. She was a communicant of Saint Michaels Church, South Berwick and Saint Sebastian Church, Sebastian, Florida, and St Mary's Church, Parish of the Assumption, Dover. Blessed with a lovely soprano voice, she was an active choir member and sang in many local musicals. Her faith and a keen moral compass kept her concerned and engaged her entire life. She belonged to women's clubs in both Maine and Florida, and even late in life volunteered many hours at Sebastian Memorial Hospital. She was happy to be here and the world is a little better for her having been here. She brightened many lives!

She was predeceased in 1985 by her husband R. Leo Gagnon and in 1988 by her daughter-in-law Priscilla (Richard) Gagnon.

She is survived by her son Joel Gagnon and his wife Sarah of West Danby, N.Y.; daughter Cecile Savage and her husband John of Dover and their son Michael Savage of Newbury, Mass.; her son Richard Gagnon and his wife Susan of Somersworth and their children Charles (Brandy) Gagnon (son Creighton) of Somersworth and Cynthia (Joshua) Rybczyk of Londonderry, N.H., (children Shaynah, Zackary and Cameron).

SERVICES: A mass of celebration of life will be held at St Mary's church, Parish of the Assumption, on Friday, October 7, 2016, at 11 a.m., followed by interment at St Michael's cemetery, Rollinsford, N.H.
