Therese Cullen Obituary
Therese was born in Pittsburgh, PA to parents Medio ("Mike") Mercolini and Mary Josephine (Smith) Mercolini, both now deceased, and was a much loved and devoted sister to Michele Janosko, Maureen Ziolkowski, James Mercolini and Sue Ann Pope, and sister-in-law to Michael and Cindy Cullen, Mary Anne and Gary Osborne, and the late Sandra Lee Lortie. She was adored by her 7 nieces and nephews and 11 great nieces and nephews on the Mercolini side, and by the 6 nieces and nephews and 14 great nieces and nephews, as well as great-great nieces and nephews on the Cullen side. Therese is also survived by 2 aunts and 1 uncle, and by many, many Mercolini cousins. She also leaves behind many close and treasured friends who became adopted family members, including her "BFF" Denise Osborne and her partner-in-mischief, Laura Achenbach.
Therese attended Duquesne University and spent her career as an accountant and hospital administrator, most recently at the Sharon Regional Medical Center from which she retired several years ago. On her retirement, she finally had the time to begin living her life to the fullest and she didn't squander any of it. She enjoyed many post-retirement adventures with Bill, her family and friends. She was a giver in every sense of the word, and always took care of everyone and everything. She was truly the life of every party and filled all of our lives with great joy and much laughter. She leaves a hole in the hearts of those who are left behind that can never be filled.
As she wished, there will be no viewing or public service.

We were sad to learn about the passing of Therese. Our sincere condolences to Bill, Eric, Scott and the rest of her family and extensive network of friends. We remember her pleasant snd funny personality. A true loss for the world. May she rest in a place of peace and light.

Therese was a legend. One of my favorite people and the funniest person I´ve ever met. The love she had for her husband, children and grandchildren were boundless. To know her was to love her. All my love and prayers to her family

Therese was the best, that´s all that can be said!
She was the best baseball mom, (she got me further involved than I thought I would ever be) the best accountant, (she explained budgets to me at the hospital), the best friend to all (I didn´t know the joy of singing Karaoke until I met Therese).
She made everyone a friend, had a wicked sense of humor, and never stopped giving!
Deepest condolences to Bill, Scott, Eric, and family! She will be missed!

It´s hard to put into words what Therese meant to me - more than a client, you were a friend, a confidant, and a bright light in every appointment. Your visits were never just about hair. They were about laughs, real talks, and shared moments I´ll hold in my heart forever.
You brought grace, warmth, and kindness into my chair, and left it a better place each time you sat in it. The salon feels different without you, quieter - but your spirit lingers in every corner.
Thank you for your trust, your stories, your smile.
You are missed more than words can say.
