Thomas G. Aden

Thomas G. Aden November 15, 1926 ~ March 30, 2023 Tom Aden, 96, formerly of Yakima, WA, passed away in Vancouver, WA on March 30, 2023. He was born in Dongola, Illinois and came to Yakima on a freight train at 15. He stayed in the West Valley area marrying Lola Pedersen in 1947. He and Lola went on to own and operate Gromore Trading Company, a small country grocery store. Together they raised three children and operated their store for 48 years until retiring in 1990. In 1999 they moved to Vancouver, Washington to be close to two of their grandsons. Tom loved bowling, golf, Mariner baseball, and traveling to the Oregon Coast. He looked forward to turning 90 so he could play free golf where he lived.

Tom is survived by his three children, John (Chris), Jim, and Janet; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, a son-in law, and a daughter-in law.

No Memorial Service is planned, but a private ash spreading ceremony will take place in the future.
