To The Family and Friends,
Since our father's burial last year on this day, our family has received many acts of kindness from our family members, friends, and neighbors. We appreciate the time and thoughtfulness given by each of you. The emotional and financial support has helped us to move forward. We are very grateful to be surrounded by so many caring and generous people.
Thank you for all your love,
.

Today marks the one year anniversary that you moved on. I heard a Native American describe death in this way. There isn't a word for death in the language instead it is believed that death is another part of life. One becomes able to access the celestial energy. Now that would be neat to think of you living amoung the stars. With all the different beliefs its hard to know what to think. But I've often hoped that you've joined with Grandma Scott, Betty Lou, Grandma Bet and Momma Susie. It is my wish that you're visiting with a lot of long-missed friends and family who are all calling you "Babe Bro".

Baby Brother,
Just wanted to let you know how proud I am of you and Butch.
As I sat in the church at your mother-in-law's "homegoing" service on yesterday, I thought about what fine men you two "rascals" turned out to be. You both are successful in your careers, you seem to be strong fathers and loving spouses.
Thirty some years ago, who would have thought that you two would have gained such status. You made some good choices. Keep up the good work!
Say hello to your family.
God bless,
Peggy

Yvonne,
I just wanted to put into words what a wonderful boss and friend Tom was.
I guess Tom and I worked for Shell Oil Company in the same district for over 20 years together, but the 4 years that we spent working
as a team in Washington, D.C. were some of the best times of my career.
I was fresh out of college and new to life below the "Mason/Dixon Line" and had some tepidations. Tom immediately made me feel comfortable and made sure that the gas station Dealers gave me
a fair shake - and they did.
Tom always backed me - right or wrong. I can still remember getting chased out of one Dealer's station in Hyattsville MD, after an argument over chargebacks. The Dealer had pulled a Gun on Me!
I told Tom, and he went right down there and straightened things out.
Tom would pitch in on anything! From selling tough accounts to unloading truckloads of motor oil or tires. He had a great sense of humor and we had many laughs together. Why I think you and Tom even tried to find me a wife!
Tom was a wonderful person...I am a better person for having known and worked with Tom. He was a very good friend.
Our deepest sympathies,
Troy, Tracy, Thomas John (TJ), Jonathan, Candace and Kimberly

Yvonne,
I was saddened to hear about Tom. Those of us who were fortunate enough to have known Tom were blessed. He was a good friend, husband, father, and role model. He was one of my favorite people at Shell Oil Company and I considered him to be a good friend.
There isn't anything I can say at this time of loss that hasn't already been said. I know that you and your family will move forward, as Tom would have wanted you to do, and be thankful for the time you had together.

With Sympathy,

The Sun Will Shine Again
It would be so much easier
If things always stayed the same.
If those we loved could always be with us
And we never had to say Goodbye.
I guess life just wasn't meant to be that way.
But maybe there's some comfort in knowing
That after the rain -
The Sun Will Shine Again.
If I could,
I would take away the pain and have
Everything the way it was before.
But there are some things that
All the Love in the world cannot change.
Just know that I am here if you need me and
I will do whatever I can to help you through this.
WE LOVE YOU ALL,
AUNT ALICE, RENAYE, BRIE AND STERLING

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
