It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of Thomas Louis Bardugone, 80, of Southbury, Connecticut. Thomas passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 6, 2025.

Born on April 28, 1945, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Thomas was the beloved son of Edith Leone and Frank Bardugone. He is survived by his devoted wife, Donna Bardugone; his two children, Christopher Bardugone and Danielle Pettit and her husband, Thomas Pettit; and his cherished granddaughters, Kylie Jade Pettit and Kendal Rayne Pettit, who brought him immense pride and joy. His legacy lives on through the love, lessons, and memories he leaves behind.

Thomas grew up in Monroe, Connecticut, and was one of four brothers. His older brother Gary and younger brother Frank both passed away in 2024, and his youngest brother, Andy, still resides in Monroe. Thomas spent the majority of his adult life as a small business owner with his wife, Donna. Together, they owned The Paint Brush Inc. in Woodbury, Connecticut, for 30 years, until they closed in 2010.

Thomas had a passion for skiing and motorcycle riding. Winter weekends were often spent on the slopes in Vermont with his lifelong friend, Dean Gestal. During the warmer months, he and Donna would ride cross-country with their Harley friends, enjoying the freedom of the open road. He loved watching the nightly news and going to the movies with his son. Though he would grumble through hours of his daughter's dance recitals-and later his granddaughters'-he was always their biggest supporter and endured it all with love.

In accordance with Thomas's wishes, he was cremated, and a private family burial will take place. A celebration of life is scheduled for September 20, 2025, with details to be shared by the family in the coming weeks.

Thomas Louis Bardugone will be remembered for his unwavering love, quiet strength, and steadfast devotion to his family. He will be deeply missed and forever loved. Love Ya, Later.
