Thomas Brombacher Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 3, 2021.

Thomas F. Brombacher, 76, of Eynon, died Tuesday evening at Regional Hospital of Scranton. His wife is the former Delores Keklak of Jermyn. The couple was married for 55 years.

Born in Montdale, Pa., he was the son of the late Arthur and Genevieve Yahimiak Brombacher. Tom was a graduate of Archbald High School. He served in the United States Army Reserves and was employed as a survey engineer with Local 542, the Army Corps of Engineers and on many local large scale construction projects. He was most proud of his work on the Aylesworth Park, Valley View High School and Regional (Mercy) Hospital.

He enjoyed fishing, target shooting, harness racing and poker playing at Mohegan Sun Casino. He loved spending time with his friends at the Eynon Legion and local coffee shops.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Frank Grum of Jermyn whose lifelong friendship to our dad meant the world to him and our family.

Surviving are his children, Kim Brombacher, Delaware; and Thomas Brombacher with wife, Ginger, Nevada. Also surviving are siblings, Alice Britt, New Jersey; Walter Nykaza, Dickson City; Jacob Nykaza, Jermyn RD 1; Sophia Ward, Montdale; and Dorothy Yachamovich, Scranton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lee Brombacher; brothers, Phillip, Stephen and George Brombacher; and sisters, Genevieve Brombacher, Carolyn Paroby and Margaret Malahosky.

He was a kind and loving husband, father, brother and friend who will be dearly missed. Friends and relatives should say a prayer that he finds everlasting peace. He will be greatly missed.

The funeral will be private at the convenience of the family. He will be entombed at St. Mary's Assumption Cemetery, Montdale. Arrangements are under the care of Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home. For online condolences, visit www.margottafuneralhomes.com.
