Thomas B. Dunmire, Jr

Thomas B. Dunmire, Jr., 76 years old of Prescott Arizona, entered heaven on October 7th, 2024.

Thomas was Born on August 16th, 1948 in Jeannette, PA to parents Thomas "Tuck" B. Dunmire and Lorene A. (Watson) Dunmire. He had one brother Richard "Dick" Dunmire. Tom was a 1966 graduate from Greensburg, PA. In 1967, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Intelligence and served in Taiwan. After the Army, Tom furthered his education in the Penn State ROTC program and earned his commission in the United States Air Force. He did postgraduate studies at University of Michigan Ann Arbor, and earned his Master's Degree in Meteorology. Then, he met the love of his life, Pamela (Whipple) Dunmire, who was a single mother of three children. Soon after, they married and all moved to California. Tom worked in the "Space Division" in Los Angeles. He was also stationed at Norton AFB and Vandenberg AFB. Tom retired as a Major in the USAF. He and Pam moved to Arizona to be closer to their three children and grandkids in 2002. Tom was an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. He was an avid reader and loved to study the weather and deep dive into all types of interesting subjects. Tom was respected and loved, and will be very missed by his family: His wife Pamela W. Dunmire; His three children - Leonard T. (Teddy) Lewis, Teresa L. Jefferson, and John P. Lewis (Daughter in-law Katie N. Lewis); His grandchildren Lydia F. Martinez, Joseph W. Jefferson, Sterling T. Lewis, Elizabeth E. Jefferson, Knox J. Lewis; and great grandchildren Julian J. Marin and Lorenzo A. Martinez.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, 10/25/24 at Trinity Presbyterian Church - 630 Park Ave Prescott, AZ 86303 at 11:00am. The service will be followed by military honors at Prescott National Cemetery - 500 N Hwy 89 Prescott, AZ 86313 at 1:30pm
