Thomas Andrew Harley, son of Sheryl L. Tiseth and Craig A. Harley, passed away on August 5, 2022, at the age of 24. Thomas graduated from Marshall High School in 2014. He was an athlete, musician, artist, and rapper. Thomas loved to rap. He even wrote his own rap songs from a young age. He loved his BMX bike, too, which he rode in ways that gave his parents grey hairs. He played the bassoon and the double bass—the piano by ear and by music. He earned his Junior Black Belt in karate from World Karate the summer between 5 th grade and middle school. He swam throughout high school for Clark and Club swim. He loved science, and he often meshed his scientific beliefs with his artistic talents, drawing how he saw the grand Universe in his mind. He loved to explain his thoughts on that, as well. Thomas loved nature and mankind. He probably walked hundreds of miles in his short life. He forever thought that no one should be homeless. He wanted to cure the entire epidemic of homelessness. Thomas hugged like no one else. He loved hard. He was generous unto his last penny. He loved to hike with his mom and help her garden. When he needed to be alone, he would often go out into nature. Thomas was a special child who gave us all much love. After his passing, we received so many stories from so many people who were recipients of Thomas’s love and compassion and how he helped them in some way. This is a true testament of him and his giving soul, requiring little but giving all.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thomas Edgar Boring and Betty Avera Boring. He is survived by his parents, Craig A. Harley, Sheryl L. Tiseth and her wife, Helen F. Tiseth, his brother Christopher P. Harley and stepbrother Charles J. Tiseth; his paternal grandparents Norman Harley and wife Margaret; grandmother Arvetta T. Harley of Valdosta, GA; his aunt Arlisa T. Harley, and first cousin Major Brielle Hawkins, USAF. His extended family who loved him dearly are Annelle Saldana Dent and husband Charles, Jennifer Dent, Eric Dent, Tami Saldana Sutton, Tim Saldana, and the Bryant- McMillan family. His presence in our lives will be dearly missed.
His lieu of flowers, please bring a donation of any of the following items: blanket, hygiene kit, adult socks, shoes or clothing, or anything you see fit a homeless person could use. We will donate any donations with a loving note to the homeless in Thomas’s memory.
Thomas Spirit still lives and resides in many of our hearts. Thomas would Say. “Thank you for the gifts that helped with my memorial service. Thank you for the donations in the Give Forward effort, the same effort I promoted within my community. Thomas believed all the efforts he made in the Universe comes around and passes thru and continues. Special thanks to Operation Comfort for their generous donation and for accepting Thomas to learn to play Sled Hockey.
Your Mom other Mom, Dale,& Bernell got your memorial up. We love you.

Thomas. You’re one good man! You lived more than most people do in 50 years. You are loved more than most people feel in a life time. Do me a favor and often ring your moms door bell and make it rain in just her yard. To know you’ve done that already, shows the world just how special you are. Thomas, you’re never a were! NEVER!

Thomasito, you were truly a child of the light. Even in the darkness you still shined through.
I’m gonna miss your hugs and our short adventures in nature, the boxing rings, the skating rink, sled hockey , and all our food runs. Mostly, I’ll miss you calling me and your Mom over or on the phone to sing your latest rap song you made. I hope you are flying free in the universe moving up a level. Don’t worry I’ll take care of your Momma. I know you will watch over us, we’ve already felt your presence and the signs you are leaving. Yawalla sweet boy. Till our energies collide again. Love your other Mom
