Mesa, AZ 85212 - Thomas Arment Highfield, 71, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of June 4, 2025, surrounded by loved ones in Mesa, AZ. Tom touched many lives with his generous spirit and wonderful sense of humor. He will be dearly missed. Following graduation from Cortez High School and a short stint at NAU, Tom served 6 years in the Navy. He spent over 25 years with Motorola and helped launch the Iridium satellite system. As an electrical technician and a software engineer, he finished out his career with his own company, Highfield Productions. He enjoyed spending his free time at Apache Lake on his houseboat and riding his Seadoo. While at home he enjoyed wooden puzzles, and creating projects with his 3D printer. Tom is preceded in death by both parents, Bill and Stormy Highfield. He leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Shelby, his brother's and wives, Dick and Mary Jane of Connecticut & Will and Candi of Colorado, his sister-in-law Terry Guess who was also his caregiver and two other sisters-in-law, Ginger Guess and Lori Guess as well as numerous nephews and nieces. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 16th at Sam and Debi's home in Mesa, AZ.

Sorry to heard about Tom's passing. I worked with him at Motorola for several years. He was a very valuable team member on a top secret project for the Navy and shepherded us aboard a Navy worship for our testing. He will be missed by all who knew him. My condolences to his family.
