Thomas Davie Neilson

Thomas Davie Neilson 83 of Philadelphia born on June 5, 1936 and passed away on November 15, 2019. Beloved husband of Jeanne S. (Sullivan) Neilson. Loving father of Thomas D. Neilson, Jr., Edward J. Neilson (Doris) Todd B. Neilson (Late Cindy), Lawrence M. Thomson (Loretta) and Meredith H. Hawley (Kevin). Grandfather of 15, great grandfather of 4. Dear brother of the late John B. Neilson (Geradine). Thomas proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Saratoga. Thomas was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 98 for more than 60 years. He served Local 98 families in numerous elected positions within and worked most of his life for the good of the community and the union. He was a member of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania F & AM Lodge #9. Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family and treasured each and every moment. Relatives and friends are invited to Thomas' Life Celebration Tuesday November 19, 2019 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. Followed by his Memorial Service at 8:00 PM at John F. Givnish of Academy Rd, 10975 Academy Rd. In lieu of flowers donations in Thomas' memory may be made to the American Lung Association at www.lung.org
