Sincere condolences to the Newby family, especially, his wife, children, and his brother, Kent.
Kent, I remember with fondness playing baseball with you and Tom, in your backyard and when we visited Westmoreland State Park. You both were much better athletes than I and you and Tom had the patience to introduce my brother and I to some fundamentals. Tom was several years ahead in school, but I remember watching him play football and basketball at Midlothian and Manchester before he transitioned to Huguenot. He was a star and I think he hooked your family into life-long fans of Blue Devils' basketball. Tom left Bon Air like a rocket and continued on a course of accomplishment and refinement. He was a gentleman of the world who never forgot his family or his roots. I've always thought of him as a leader who set a high standard for those who encounted him.

Thankful for many happy memories growing up spending holidays and time together. Loved times seeing your passion for family and togetherness especially your excitement during ball games- jumping up on the furniture in cheering your team on. A passion you caried through life. Praying that God will surround you with His arms of comport during this time of loss. Don and Nancy Reynolds
