Thomas Michael Niebauer

Thomas Michael Niebauer, 64, died Oct. 1, 2009. He was born in Atlanta and lived in Palm City for seven years, coming from Fort Lauderdale. He retired as a captain with American Airlines, where he worked for 32 years. He was a Navy veteran and a fighter pilot during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Michigan State University and a member of the Grace Place in Stuart. Survivors include his wife, Liz Niebauer of Palm City; mother, Joyce Weaver of Milton; son, Todd Niebauer of Quantico, Va.; daughter, Laura Elleby of Powder Springs, Ga.; brother, David Niebauer of Milton; and sister, Susan Gordon of Milton. He was preceded in death by his father, William Niebauer. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Place, 1550 S.E. Salerno Road, Stuart, FL 34997. SERVICES: A celebration of life service will be at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Grace Place, Stuart, with the Rev. Rick Addison officiating. Arrangements are by Martin Funeral Home & Crematory, Stuart.
