Tiffany Pope Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 3, 2011.
Mooresville Tiffany Anne Pope, Age 28, went to be with the Lord on January 3, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center. She died from complications while waiting for a kidney donor. Tiffany was born August 2nd, 1982 in Charlotte, NC. She attended Butler High School and Central Piedmont Community College in Matthews, N.C. This beautiful, kind, loving lady had many achievements and hobbies. She won the spelling bee for her school while attending Lebanon Road Elementary. She was the best daughter a mother could ask for; the best friend a person could ask for; the best granddaughter, cousin, half-sister and pet owner anyone could ask for and so much more. Tiffany taught many about life and how to live it fully. She aspired to become a nurse in order to give back to all those who had helped her medically in her past. She was unable to complete her schooling due to her deteriorating health. She was a great cheerleader for Mint Hill in her younger days. She loved to talk to her family, friends and other loved ones. She loved tattoos and had many because she lived life as she wanted to. Tiffany lived life to the fullest. Tiffany loved life. Yes, this young lady loved life. Tiffany loved to ride jet skis and her 4 wheeler. She did not live as if she had been sick from the day she was born, she lived life to the maximum she could. Tiffany was baptized as an infant, and later professed her faith in the Lord at Freedom Biker Church, Monroe NC. Tiffany is survived by her Mother, Mary Toomey Simpson & companion Danny Maxwell of Mooresville NC; Father K. Scott Pope of Waxhaw NC; Grandparents Pete & wife Delores Toomey of Matthews NC, Judy and husband Carol Noe of Waxhaw NC and Cape Coral, FL, Robert Pope and wife Linda of Charlotte NC; sisters Keirsten and Kirby Pope of Matthews NC, Sisters Taylor, Mekenzie & Madison Pope of Loudon, TN., And Tiffany's constant companion, Stephen Jones of Matthews NC. Tiffany comes from two very large and loving families, with dozens of Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends. Tiffany is also survived by her 'baby' Precious, her gorgeous sweet cocker spaniel. Tiffany was predeceased in death by her Great-Grandparents, William Lester and wife Juanita Howie of Plantation Estates, her Great-Grandmother Eliza Hoover of Belmont, N.C. and her Great-Grandmother Kathleen Toomey of Charlotte, N.C. Celebration of Tiffany's Life will be January 8th, 2011 at 11 A.M at The Cove Church in Mooresville, NC. Tiffany did choose to be cremated. Her honorary pallbearers are family members Bill Toomey, Sean Toomey, Joshua Toomey, Pete Toomey III, Ryan Toomey, Brennan Yates, Colby Yates, Conner Yates, Brandon Maxwell, Timothy Maxwell, and Clayton Maxwell. Her honorary angels here on Earth are family Patty Yates, Skyler Yates, Robin Souza, Brooke Souza, Brittany Souza, Brandise Souza, Lisa (Skippy) Goude, Patrisha Goude, Linda Noe Lowrance and Susan Howie Moody. Memorials in the name of Tiffany Pope may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of NC, 5950 Fairview Rd., Ste. 550, Charlotte, NC 28210. Tiffany was born at CMC without kidneys and an irregular bladder, and given virtually no chance of survival. With the extraordinary work of Retired Dr. Patrick Burgess of Metrolina Nephrology Group in Charlotte, NC, Dr. Flippo of Charlotte, NC and Dr. Edward Kohaut of Children's Hospital in Birmingham Alabama, she was given dialysis, and at 15 months she received a kidney transplant from her mother Mary. This enabled Tiffany to enjoy 28 years she would not otherwise have had. Tiffany has always been a fighter, and has endured many hospitalizations, operations and overcome many hardships. To honor her memory, please consider becoming an organ donor and being a better person. Per Tiffany's request, live your lives to the fullest.
