Timothy Burnett Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 1, 2025.
Timothy Matt Burnett passed away unexpectedly on June 14, 2024, in Bradenton, Florida, at the age of 51 due to a heart attack. Born on July 10, 1972, in Bradenton, Tim was the youngest child of Harold M. Burnett and Ann Caroline Quam Burnett.

Tim spent his early years in Sarasota, Florida, graduating from Riverview High School in 1991. In his twenties, he ventured beyond Florida and eventually made his home in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. A few years ago, Tim returned to Florida to be closer to his family. He was deeply devoted to his life-partner, his family, and the many animals he lovingly cared for throughout his life.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ann; his grandparents, H.M. and Ethel Burnett and Kenneth and Gayle Quam; and his niece, Kristin Peal. He is survived by his sister, Tammie Burnett Peal (Gary); his brother, Troy Burnett (Julie); his life-partner, Kurt Uebelhoer; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, a niece, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 8, 2025, at noon at the Bee Ridge Women's Club in Sarasota. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Tim's memory to Satchel's Last Resort Rescue & Sanctuary (8101 Coach Road, Sarasota, FL 34241) or Nate's Honor Animal Rescue Center (4951 Lorraine Road, Bradenton, FL 34211).

Tim will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort and peace to those whose lives he touched.
