Timothy SALPETER Obituary

Tim's family is saddened to announce his peaceful passing after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Tim was predeceased by his father, Arthur Salpeter. He will be missed terribly by Judy, his devoted wife of 23 years, his mother Helen, children Elyse, Kelsey and Logan, siblings David (wife Jennifer and sons Jake, Max, Reed), Adrian (partner Michael), Sabrina (husband Lance and children Francesca, Clinton, Wesley), parents-in-law John and Barbel Lackey, brother-in-law Keven Lackey (wife Tami and children Justen, Brayden, Camren, Keaten, Landen, Mackenzi), and sister-in-law Odette Lackey (husband Tony Schiebel, children Kyla, Senya, Benton). Tim will also be missed by Ann Salpeter and his constant companions - dogs Colby ("Schnitzel") and Hudson ("Poochie").
Even though his life was too short for those close to him, it was filled with people and activities he loved. Tim was a competitive swimmer ever since he was a teenager. He was able to maintain his enthusiasm and involvement in the sport with the assistance and devotion of friends.
Tim's family would like to sincerely express its appreciation to a wide range of friends, colleagues from RBC Dominion Securities and neighbors. Thanks also to medical and home care teams from Bayshore and WeCare that made it possible for Tim to stay at home until the very end. A Celebration of Tim's Life will be be held at the Rio Terrace Moravian Church (15108 - 76 Avenue) on Monday, September 17 at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Canadian Red Cross HELP Program at 2B01, 11111 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, T5K 0L4.

Very sorry to hear about Tim's passing. Tim was a great guy who really did live life to the fullest, and I really enjoyed his company. Gwen and I still talk about the hillarious year Tim and I had coaching the boys in soccer. Thinking about you in this difficult time.
