Timothy Strang Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 25, 2012.
Timothy David Strang Marion, Va. Timothy David Strang, 25, went home to be with the Lord on December 25, 2012, surrounded by his loving parents and family, after a lifelong and courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Timothy was an avid sports fan, a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and just a great example how life should be lived. He had previously been employed by Riverfront Restaurant in Chilhowie and enjoyed his work there as a host. He was a member of the Marion First Church of God. Survivors include his mother, Renna Strang; father and step-mother, Thomas and Robin Beal Strang; grandparents, Janet Church and Agnes Strang; two sisters, Cheryl Strang Landis and Dana Strang; two brothers, Nathan Strang and Thomas Strang Jr.; one step-sister, Nicole Follansbee; two step-brothers, David and John Follansbee; nephews, Matthew Strang, Tristan Landis, and Ashton Landis; and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted 2 PM, Saturday, December 29 at Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend William McCollian officiating. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery in Chilhowie. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 PM Saturday prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Timothy's name to Williams Funeral Home, PO Box 277, Chilhowie, Va. 24319. Condolences can be made to the family online at www.williamsfuneralhomechilhowie.com. Williams Funeral Home of Chilhowie is serving the Strang Family. n

May the Lord bless each of you and welcome Timothy David into his heavenly kingdom. Our prayers and thoughts go out to your whole family. Death of a young man is hard to accept, but the Lord will help us all through this ordeal. May God Bless you all and send his peace on you.

Tom,Robin and family. So sorry that we can't be there for you today. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I looked up in the sky Christmas night and saw the brightest star.I knew it had to be Tim telling us he was ok and at peace and that God was taking him on a new journey. God Bless

Tim was such a special person. I'm so glad my husband & I went to see him last week before he passed. He told me he was at peace but in no hurry to pass. The most important thing is he was ready to go. I pray for peace for my good friend, Renna, (his Mother) & for the entire family. Tim would want the whole family to still have a good life & to enjoy life.
May God give each of you peace & healing.
Sincerely,
Judy & Jr. Martin

My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. I am sure Tim is at peace now. And please know he will always be in your hearts forever. You may feel pain right now but in time your pain will be replaced with sweet memories you will cherish forever and those are the memories he would want you to keep when you are sad. They truly will warm your heart and you will smile and when you do know that he is sharing that moment with you from heaven.
