Todd was predeceased by his brother, Trent LaForest.
He is survived by his fiancé, Paula Barcomb of West Chazy; four children, Katrina LaForest of West Chazy, Kristie LaForest of Port Charlotte, Fla., Jody LaForest and his wife, Elizabeth of West Chazy, Jeremy LaForest and his wife, Heather of West Chazy; his parents, Jay and Ethel LaForest Jr., of West Chazy; three brothers, Terry "Joe" LaForest and his wife, Ruth of West Chazy, Tony "Bubs" LaForest and his wife, Donna of West Chazy, Timothy "Hap" LaForest and his wife, Christina of West Chazy; two sisters, Hope LaForest of West Chazy, Julie Jubert and her husband, James of Altona; nine grandchildren, Brennen, Rylan, Aiden, Cierra, Teegan, Mackenzie, Bryce, Makaylah and Madeline; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, N.Y.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at 11 a.m. at St. Louis de France Church in Sciota, with the Rev. Gilbert O. Boisvert, pastor, presiding.
Interment will be at a later date at St. Louis de France Cemetery.

To The Laforest Family:
Todd will be well missed. He always seemed to put me and Mike first when it came to fixing our bikes and even any other little thing we needed. No matter what it was or what Todd, Bubs, Or Hap where doing they always stopped everything just to do what we needed them to do. Uncle Todd, I love you. I miss you and can't express in words how my heart, chest, stomach, and throat feel. You were that one uncle who let us play with the toys, who could build a house from a piece of wood, the one who could build a chopper without from pieces of scrap metal, drove the fastest in the boat scaring all the girls, and you did cannon balls in the pool getting Aunt Paula and Mom all wet! You always made me feel so welcomed when I came home and anytime I think of you, you always had a smile on your face. Watch over us all now and we will see you again.
