Todd McGrady

Troutdale, VA 

Todd Monroe McGrady, 49, left this world on Sunday, March 13, 2022 from injuries sustained from an automobile accident. The tragic event also took his beloved brother. As they were always together in life, it is only fitting that they left the world together.
 
Todd grew up in Troutdale, Virginia, a town he loved and never left. The “highest” corporate town in Virginia he would say. He was proud to have property that bordered the national forest and had Fox Creek running through his yard.
 
He was proudly employed by Adam’s Construction Company for many years until becoming disabled due to various medical issues. He loved his career there, sure to tell all that he was the best driver Adam’s ever had and he could drive any machine they owned. His work family was our family. He loved his crew and his crew loved him.
 
An avid sportsman, Todd and his 22/250 harvested many a deer or wild game and he caught a wide variety of fish in local waters. His fun-loving heart was always chasing a good time. Many nights were spent playing cards, throwing corn-hole, driving around appreciating nature, and taking his kids to events led to a full and wonderful life with many great friends and a loving family.
 
As much as Todd loved and was loved, nothing compared to the love and pride he had for his children and grandchildren. “POP-POP” shared a special bond with his grandbabies that was immeasurable and unexplainable. His life was all about them once they entered his and they filled his heart completely.
 
Todd will be dearly missed and always remembered. Todd is preceded in death by his dear mother, Cecile Anne McGrady, and two brothers, Timothy Patrick McGrady, and Richard McGrady.
 
Todd is survived by his wife, Scarlett Rae Holland McGrady, with whom he spent 33 ½ years. A brother, Thomas Omar McGrady of Charlottesville. A son, Dakota Cotton McGrady, and a daughter, Cheyenne Nicole McGrady both of Troutdale. His beloved grandchildren; Ewan River McGrady, Grainne Raine McGrady, and an unborn baby girl due in July. 
 
A celebration of life will be held at Bradley’s Funeral Home in Marion, VA on Saturday, June 18th from 10 am-12 pm. A reception will follow at one of Todd’s favorite fishing holes, Hungry Mother State Park. Anybody wishing to join is welcome and side dishes are greatly appreciated.
