I knew Tom because he was a correctional officer at BeaverCreek and Kingston Penitentiary. I was an inmate. He took me on passes to my families home and he was well liked. At Beaber Creek he was well respected. He was a good man with integrity and very kind. I was sad to hear he passed.

On the many days we fished or hunted we made fine memories that I will never forget. Hunter, Chad and I will miss those times. We will continue to make the memories and wish you were there. Until we meet again, goodbye my friend, goodbye.

Tom, I always looked up to you from my early days with Corrections Canada when you took me under your wing and took the time to teach me what a "solid" Federal Correctional Officer was. I still use the things I learned from you everyday policing the mean streets (and dealing with "management!!" You will be missed by the "Chatsworth Freedom Fighters" every fall when that first raft of Canada Geese fly into the fields , sadly your gun will be silent. In the immortal words of Shakespeare, "If we do meet again, we'll smile indeed;
If not, 'tis true this parting was well made."

Tom: You departed way too soon, but I will never forget the fun times we shared when we were young. We hung out at Bill Fox's, rode horses on Conklin's farm, laughed cause you named your lab "black horse". So many memories. RIP my old friend and "Happy Trails".

Mrs. Brenda Parr, my sincerest condolences with Tom's sudden passing. I was shocked beyond belief. Tom and I rode our bikes in the 60's and went on to live our separate lives and have families. About a month ago Tom send me a 1965 photo of me, I thanked him and agreed to get together and reminisce, he said we would get together but he had some things to do and take care of, and would call me. We never got the chance. I am so sorry about this. May The God of comfort take care of you. Ryan "Campy" Camphorst

Every time we hear a motorcycle in the neighbourhood we will think of Tom. Talking with neighbours over the last few days there are only good memories of the nicest man who would do any number of favours without being asked. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with you.

I still remember your cupboard full of treats in your house, and how you always had Wink in the fridge. I remember all the yummy deer sausage you made when you went hunting with dad. I haven't seen you since I was very young, but I always remembered you, Brenda, Leeah and Matthew..
I am so shocked to hear of this news. Rest easy.

Brenda,Leah,Connie,Gail and Bill, my sincere condolences to all of you and your families.Brenda, there are many great memories from high school and also the Parr family was around the corner on Division from Erie St. where Rick Chisholm and I grew up. All kids hung out together back then regardless of the varying ages. Life was good. Life is a journey, a book where one chapter ends and a new one begins. One thing for certain is that at the close of the journey and the final page is read here on earth, Eternal Life begins.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Tom was one of my best friends in high school. He had a fantastic sense of humour and we shared a love of horses. After my first year at the University of Toronto, I took Tom and the Baldwin brothers to the Worlds Fair at New York in my parent's car. It was one of the highlights of my life. Tom's sense of humour during the trip was the stand-out. I shall sorely miss him. My empathy for Brenda and Tom's family is deep.
