Veronica H. Salvo

SALVO Veronica H. Salvo, age 75, of Stratford, died peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2005, at Astoria Park in Bridgeport, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the widow of Michael A. Salvo. Born in Bridgeport to the late Frank and Julia (Horvath) Krozser, she had been a Stratford resident for more than 30 years. Blessed with a beautiful voice, Mrs. Salvo shared her gift by singing at many local weddings and funerals. She was an avid bowler and had belonged to various area bowling leagues including the "Tuesday Night Holy Rollers". She is survived by three loving daughters, Priscilla St. Germain of Port St. Lucie, Fla, Barbara Salvo of Milford, and Kathleen Weller of Derby; three sons-in-law, Mark St. Germain, James Kelly and Lawrence Weller; three grandsons, Daniel and Michael Weller and James Kelly; her sister, Sister Julie Horvath R.S.M.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She had been predeceased by four brothers, Stephen, Frank, Andrew and John. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at 9:45 a.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford, and at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Church with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment in St. Michael Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
