Vesta Marshall Obituary
She was born December 30, 1936 in Arkansas, a daughter of the late Eugene and Sylvia Patton Key.
She retired from the housekeeping department of Shenandoah Nursing Home and was an active member of Crossroads Baptist Church until her health declined.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Louis Marshall, three sisters, Gladys Boggs, Ann McVey and Mary Jean Roberson.
Survivors include a son, Michael Dale Marshall and wife Shirley of Stuarts Draft, a daughter, Stacy Matheny and husband Mark of Stuarts Draft, five grandchildren, Kristopher Marshall, Jeremiah Marshall and wife Jaime, Matthew Marshall and wife Whitney, Laura Talley and husband Josh, Ashley Matheny and eight great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes by Pastor David Chappell. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Jeremiah Marshal, Matthew Marshall, Charles Cranford, Eddie Groome, Tommy Hoy, Jr. and H. D. Kidd.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kristopher Marshall, family and friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P.M. today, Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Daily Living Center, 990 E Hopeman Parkway Waynesboro, Virginia 22980.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
