Vicki and I have been friends since 1986. She was always there for her friends. I remember helping her move to Las Vegas for a while, to be with her Sister. What an experience and adventure.

Vicki's wish was to share this poem:

AFTERGLOW

I'd like the memory of me
to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow
of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing
times and bright and sunny days.

I'd like the tears of those who
grieve, to dry before the sun
Of happy memories that I leave
When life is Done.

I knew Vicki since 1986. She was a wonderful friend and person. She called me in March and told me of the sad news of the doctors. I tried contacting her again and couldn't. I decided to check google and saw this. Id like to visit her grave if i knew where it is.

Aunt Vicki and I had some of the best memories together. She was always there for me, and she accepted me since day one.

Aunt Vicki was strong, and had an amazingly big heart. She did whatever she could to be the light of the party and always knew how to make light of any situation. I remember when she helped me paint my first bedroom when I was a small kiddo; her artistic skills were always loved.

I miss Aunt Vicki dearly, but I know for a fact that she's up in heaven, enjoying donuts and her amazing chocolate oatmeal cookies with the rest of the family. I'll see you on the other side one day. Love you BATS.

Vicki was a wonderful friend that will be missed so much. She was a part of our family for 27 years and our children's godmother. It will be hard not not talking to her daily to see if she needed anything and if she was "behaving" (or not. Lol!), coming over to her house to find her out back gardening her beautiful yard or loving on Sammie, and having her over for dinner. We truly loved our sweet Vicki. We will be praying for all of her family and friends.
