Linda,
I've tried sending this twice now, and "shift" key, it disappears.
Am so sorry to hear of Vic's early death. I hope you and your family are doing well.
I remember you both very well from high school.

September 29, 2009

Dear Linda and family, You may not remember me, but we went to high school at Warren together, and I fondly remember both of you! I am so grateful for Marlene and her emails keeping us up on all of our class of "62" news. I am deeply saddened to hear about Vic. Please accept our deepest sympathy, and know that you and your family have been in our prayers. May God strengthen you and give you wisdom and encouragement! We live in Florida and go to Boca alot and am going to try to look up your daughter! God bless you! Love in Christ, Richard and Paula (Prall) Hoffman (The Villages, Florida)

God Bless you all. Dr. Clevenger put braces on myself as a teenager, then later in life put them on my daughter. He was the only dentist I was confortable with. He will be missed.

My husband & I had returned home from Tenn and I was catching up on newspapers,. I was shocked to see Dr C's picture in the paper. I worked almost 12 years for him as his office manager, and I had such great respect for the man, employer, and friend that he was to me. I gave him much credit for teaching me how to run my own business. I will treasure the memories. Jill Edgar

Dear Linda and Family.....
I knew Vic such a short time. But what an impact he had on our lives. I not only gained two wonderful in-laws and a lovely extended family for my son, but also a charming and loving daughter-in-law.
I am heartbroken that we won't see him again. Because of his kindness, tenderness and warmth, he will be in my heart for a very long time to come. Bless him and your family.....

To the Clevenger family..
Thirty some years ago I went to see if Dr. Clevenger could help me out. I was an 18 year old earning a meager wage who desperately needed braces. Dr. Clevenger allowed me to make affordale payments and gave me a smile that I am still proud of today. It changed my life.
I have never forgotten his kindness and compassion. I am sure he helped many people as he did me. I am greatful.
God's peace be with you,

Dr. Clevenger will be remembered as the 'man of a million smiles' - Every young adult in Anderson had the opportunity for fine orthodontics at at a reasonable price under his pay as you go program. We are grateful to him for (2) beautiful smiles - Maggie and Erika - May God grant rest to his family and a good journey to his soul in heaven.

Linda - I'm so sorry. I was still receiving his labs and knew something was going on, but I thought it would just be a transplant. I am shocked! What a good friend he was. May God comfort you in your loss (temporary) of this great guy. It is good to know that we may look forward to seeing him soon in heaven. Hope to see you tomorrow. I misplaced your good letter and do not have your address. Bill Anderson

Linda and Family,
Vic was a fellow classmate at I.U. School of Dentistry. In addition to being unbelievably smart, he was always friendly and helpful. We sat across from each other in many lab classes. Later we served together on the Alumni Board. It was my very real honor to have known him. A true first-class gentleman in all ways. I am so very sorry for your loss.
