Victor L. Doss, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on January 14, 2025, in Springville, Alabama, at the age of 68 after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Kite Doss; his children and their spouses: Zach Doss and Hope Travis, Haley Doss Janes and Danny Janes, and Tory Doss and Mary Widick Doss. He was the proud grandfather of Ezra Doss, Jed Janes, and Phoebe Doss. Victor is also lovingly remembered by his mother, Frances Doss; his brothers and their spouses: Eric and Kristi Doss and Les and Tammy Doss; his sisters-in-law Gina Kite Hobbs (Herb Hobbs) and Janet Kite Garnett; his mother-in-law Mary Ann Kite; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Doss.

Born on May 14, 1956, in Weaver, Alabama, Victor grew up with a passion for music and was a charter member of the Marching Matadors drum line. For nearly four decades, he made the Birmingham area his home while building a successful career as a civil engineering technologist. His professional journey included roles at Engineering Services and Associates, Birmingham Water Works, and Southern Company before his retirement.

Victor found joy in spending time with family and pursuing his passions for old cars, rock and roll music, baseball, and Alabama football. These interests brought him happiness throughout his life and connected him with others who shared similar loves.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Leeds Davita Dialysis, Ascension Home Health nurse Steve and PT Laura, and Compassus Hospice Care for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Kidney Foundation.

A celebration of Victor's life will be held on Friday, January 31, at Trussville Civic Center in Trussville, Alabama. Visitation will take place from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by the service at 2:00 p.m.

Victor will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May cherished memories bring comfort to those he leaves behind. His family takes solace in believing he is now completely healed and with his heavenly Father.
