Victor “John” Worley

Victor "John" Worley was born on May 26, 1969 and passed away on May 21, 2024 in Murray, UT.

Victor grew up in Park City and was introduced to horses and equestrian competitions at a young age. He was an accomplished horseman and competed in national level competitions as a teenager. He enjoyed caring for his horses and many other animal friends throughout the years. His other interests included ballroom dancing and ballet.

Victor graduated from Park City High School in 1987 and went on to have a career in the hospitality industry. He took great pride in his work as a property manager. Later in his life, he explored his interests in veterinary care and worked as a veterinary technician. Most recently, he was in training at UTA to become a Paratransit driver. He was so excited for this new career path. He spent many years of his adult life as a renowned horse trainer, and was ultimately happiest in the show arena or helping others with their horses.

Victor struggled with addiction for most of his adult life. He had been in inpatient care since 2020 and had recently started to have an independent life. He recently celebrated 18 months of sobriety.

He was passionate about helping others and had interest in becoming a peer counselor. As one of his friends said, Victor was so brave and shared so much of himself and his struggles with the public.

He is survived by his friends and family, including Gary, Judy, Miley, Brian, James, Elizabeth, Matthew, Suzanne Z, Scott and Suzanne P, Chris and Diane, Amber, Nan, Stacey, Kim and Patty, Rob and Kirby, and Rachelle.
