My brothers and I grew up with Vinnie and his family on Deerfield Lane. Vinnie was a truly great guy. He was always so nice and friendly to all of us in the neighborhood, including those of us who were a few years younger than him. In high school, it was the same way. He was an important part of the magical state championship football team, and yet, as always, he was so humble about it all. I am so glad that he was inducted into the MRHS Hall of Fame last year so that Vinnie, his wife and daughter could see how much he meant to all of us and enjoy the recognition that he deserved. To his wife, his daughters, and the rest of his family, I am so sorry for your loss, and I am thinking of all of you.

Vinnie was one of the sweetest, gentlest, kindest friend to all of us in Matawan who had the honor to know him. Matawan H.S years from 1972-1976 were magical.
I am blessed to have spent our best high school years with Vinnie as a part of my life.
God speed to all his loved ones.
