Vincent Louis Noce Sr., age 80, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 16, 2018. Born in Bridgeport Connecticut on June 25, 1937 he was the son of James Noce and Ida Forte-Noce. Vincent was a graduate of Fairfield College Preparatory School and the Vice President of Manis Metal Works in Bridgeport Connecticut. He later went on to be a consultant with his son James at Pequonnock Iron Works, Bridgeport Connecticut. A passionate golfer, Vincent was a member of Mill River Country Club in Stratford Connecticut for the past 45 years where he was a fixture at the card table when he was not on the golf course. He cherished the friends and relationships he developed in the grill room over the years. In addition to golf and cards, he was a passionate New York sports fan who would equally follow the Giants and the Jets, the Yankees and the Mets.
Vincent was a loving husband, father, and grandfather with a warm smile and a kind and gentle soul. He leaves behind his wife, Eugenia Noce of 55 years and their three children; Vincent Noce Jr. of Monroe Connecticut, Gina (Bill) Griffin of Shelton Connecticut, and James (Suzy) Noce of Monroe Connecticut, and six grandchildren; Denee Cavaliere, Nicole Noce, Vincent Cavaliere, Gabrielle Noce, Alyssa Noce, and Jessica Noce. Vincent was predeceased by his sister, Verna Maniscalco and brother, Gennaro Noce Sr.
Vincent's family would like to thank all his caregivers at Ludlowe Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Fairfield Connecticut who went above and beyond to comfort Vincent and his family throughout this difficult time. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. DIRECTLY in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, St. Monica's Mausoleum, Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis TN 38105, in memory of Vincent. I grew up with Vinny. He lived on Federal St. and I lived on Charles St. We were always very close. He and I, along with Joe Faroni and Stan Janczewski (both departed now, too) went on from Shelton school (picture is of Shelton School graduation with Vin being the 3rd from the left on top row.) I am next to him)and attend Fairfield Prep. I last saw him in 2005 at our 50th reunion. Because of our distance apart, my living in the DC area, we did not keep close contact with each other but I will always have the such fond memories of the times we shared together from our very young ages through graduation from Prep. My deepest condolences to the family.
