Vincent Perdue

Vincent James Perdue, 33, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 9, 2015. He was born Aug. 22, 1982, to Mona (Perdue) Nollner and the late Rodney Lee Holmberg. Vincent spent the majority of his childhood in Fairbanks and attended local schools around the district. He enjoyed spending his time with family and friends, especially his grandpa, the late Ralph Perdue. Many people feel the loss of this special young man. He was always there to help others and was a loyal friend.
He is preceded in death by his father, Rodney Lee Holmberg; stepfather Benedict Jones Jr.; grandfathers Ralph Holmberg Sr., Ralph Perdue and Leo Kriska Sr.; grandmothers Dorothy (Smith) Perdue, Mary (Yaska) Kriska and Mary (Esmailka) Kriska; uncles Leonard and Leo Kriska Jr., Gerald Holmberg and James Grant Sr.; and many other people he called family.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Mona (Perdue) and George Nollner Sr.; daughters MaKao, Jaydeen, Vanessa and Ashara; sisters Tillila, Shara and Clara; step-
sisters Ashley, Carey and Liza; brothers Bryon and Lawrence; step-brothers Barney, Roy, George Jr. and Walter; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services for Vincent will be held on Monday, Sept. 14, 2015, at the Chief David Salmon Tribal Hall with visitation at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. He will be buried at Birch Hill next to his uncle, James Lacey Grant Sr. A potlatch will follow at 6 p.m. at the Chief David Salmon Tribal Hall.
