Dear Mrs. Rooney and family,
Vince was a Healthtrax buddy from the last few years. We got to know each other while working out and talkiing of our families, the Steelers, and the world's problems. Vince was so proud of his family. I enjoyed his friendship and company so very much. He was, quite simply, the best. God bless you and your family.

Dear Donna,Maureen and Michael,
I was so sorry to hear of Vince's passing. You have my heartfelt sympathies. I am so glad I got to see him at Sara's graduation and speak with him. I spent this passed school year at South Hills M.S. and he was mentioned and asked about often. It was truely an honor to know him professionally as well as personally. And it is a testement to him that he was loved and respected so much by so many people in both areas. That's rare in these days and a tribute to what a tremendously hard working, gentle, funloving, and honorable man he was. I was out of town and deeply regret not being able to pay my respects in person. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely Bonnie Perella (Terry and Gloria's cousin)

Donna, Maureen, & Michael:
Look at what all these people have written on these pages. Could anyone have lived a better life or asked for a greater testament? You will miss your husband and father. I will miss my oldest friend. But know that Vince is is at peace in the place we all aspire to be.

Donna and family, we were saddened when we heard of Vince's passing. Saddened by your loss but even more so for the loss of one of the truly "good guys". Vince always upbeat and ready to go. I feel confident that he will add a new dimension to those in heaven. He had a unique "sense of humans" and will surely be missed. You know he will always be in our minds, hearts and prayers. May you find comfort in knowing the fight is over and the reward is great........Chuck and Norma Isler

Dear Donna, Mo, and Michael:
My memories of Mr. Rooney are numerous and run deep. He will always be part of the collective of great men in my life. He modeled what it meant to be a fantastic father, husband, and community member.
I will never forget his tireless service at Market Days, his support for all things St. Pius Soccer, and the love he exuded towards his friends and family.
My deepest sympathies and condolences to you during this time, may he rest in peace, but live eternally in our memories and with the Heavenly Father.

Maureen once remarked, "My whole life is on video!" as her dad was taping her. I recall thinking how fortunate she is. The man behind the camera was Vince Rooney. On one occasion Vince took video of then candidate Clinton's wife, Hillary. She asked him "What's your name?"
He replied, "Vince Rooney". She said, "Well Vince Rooney it's nice to meet you!" Little did she know that truer words were never spoken! Of the hundreds of fond memories I have of Vince, in not one do I recall him in a bad mood or ever even complaining. He lived life with a quiet grace and a fun outlook. He was a wonderful and loving husband and an exceptional father and an outstanding friend.
Donna and Maureen and Mike, I am sure your hearts ache and I am so sorry for your loss, but know that Heaven certainly has gained a "first stringer" and his legacy will live on through you. You are in my thoughts and prayers and please know how blessed we are to have known Vince.

Donna, Maureen, and Michael I can clearly remember the very first time I met Vince. It was in Carol's kitchen and he was holding a bunch of balloons that he brought over for Jonathan. I knew at that moment Vince and his family would be more than friends and neighbors but what I call "choosen family." He truly was a dear and special man. Clearly one of a kind! My sister, Peter, Dana, and Jonathan are so lucky to have all of you in their lives. Please know that you will never be alone and Vince could not ever be forgotten. You are and will remain in my thoughts and prayers. You have my most heartfelt sympathies and lots of love, Kim Phillips(Carol's Sister.)
