Virginia Cramer Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 3, 2012.
Virginia (Owen) Cramer was born on October 24, 1937 in Oklahoma City, OK to Freeda Hull Owen and James David Owen.
She was the youngest of the family, which consisted of her mother, father, and four older brothers, Dave, Jim and Haskell Owen.
She is survived by her children, Gina Love, Mark Cramer, Melissa Kitchell, and R. J. Cramer, and their families. She is also survived by her brother Bob Owen and many loving relatives. She is survived by her grandchildren, all whom were the light of her life. They are:Greg and Brian Love Justin, Kyle and Landon Cramer, Shane, Kevin, and Sara Kitchell & Cameron, Autumn, Dakota, Kaylie & Oakley Cramer and her great-grandchildren: Garret Love, Gavin Kitchell and Caj Kitchell. Two of her grandsons who couldn't be here are serving in the U.S. military. Her eldest grandson, Greg Love is currently serving as a Medi-Vac Blackhawk pilot and is deployed in Afghanistan. Another grandson, Justin Cramer, is serving in the Navy as a Submarine Chef and is stationed in Virginia. She was baptized into the Church of the First Born on September 23, 1958 by her uncle, Elder Roy Covington. The highlights of her life were when her four children accepted the faith and God granted her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her greatest joy of all was returning to the Lord in 1985 and rededicating her life to the Lord. Her ultimate goal in life was to work out her salvation so she could live with Him forever in His Heavenly Kingdom. She passed from this life the 31st of December, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. She wants her family to know that she has diligently asked God to watch over and care for them, she loved her family and she loved the Lord. She hopes someday to meet all of you again in Heaven.

I remembered today walking on the beach with my mom when I was young...How we laughed togather that day...loving the smell of the ocean, the sand between our toes and the warm sun on our skin...how my mother seemed so alive for the first time in my life..How I was changing into a young man and the encouragement she gave me to be a good man...She taught me so many things in those years, How I should treat a lady. That its easier to be kind, considerate, rather than hurtful..And how to live in a world that seems so hard and cold many times. Today she taught me how to die..how to stand soo strong in her faith that death itself didnt shake the foundations that she had made through a life of struggle and hardship. Mom..I have tried to be a good man..Ive tried to be good to those im around..to love more than hate..to appreciate sand between my toes. Momma, Thank you for that day in the sun walking togather..The smell of the ocean will not be soo sweet ..the sun will never be so warm again..The world is a darker place today..a little colder,, the warmth of a mothers love is gone, her laugh I wont hear again...and Im broken to my core..Good-bye momma..you deserved a better son than I could have ever been..but I will try to brighten the place in this world where you shone soo brightly..

You will always be with me Mama. You had to leave us here so you can prepare a place for us with you in a far more beautiful place. You're at peace now. I love you, Gina.

Virginia was the best mother in law a girl could have. She taught me many good things, mostly by being a wonderful example of faith and strength. We are going to miss her, but so glad she got to go home.
